Module 02 · Projects & roadmap

The project record that replaces five files.

Schedule, milestones, risks, decisions, team and scope: the whole project lives in one tabbed record — powered by your methodology templates and your Microsoft Project imports.

02.1

Start from a template, not a blank page

Each methodology ships with its skeleton: phases, typical tasks and pre-positioned milestones. Build your own templates (e.g. your internal validation cycle) and every new project starts structured.

  • Waterfall / Agile / SAFe templates — 6 phases, 18 tasks and 12 milestones ready to use in V-cycle; sprints and PIs in agile.
  • Custom templates — duplicate, adapt, and enforce your methodology standard across the organisation.
  • Typed milestones — configurable families, types and attributes, including regulatory milestones.
02.2

Milestones: the commitment on one side, reality on the other

Every milestone keeps its baseline date (the commitment) and its forecast date (the reality on the ground). The gap is visible everywhere: project record, roadmap, program tiles and executive exports.

  • Delays in red, everywhere — a slipping milestone shows on the roadmap, the program tile and the dashboard.
  • Slippage alerts — automatic email when a milestone newly falls behind its baseline.
  • Cross-project dependencies — declare that one milestone waits on another; propagation risk becomes visible.
02.3

Scope under control, imports without friction

Scope is managed as a Kanban with dated snapshots: what was committed vs what is requested today. And your existing schedules import as they are — binary Microsoft Project .mpp or XML, Excel with preview.

  • Scope Kanban — candidates, retained, out of scope: drag & drop, frozen snapshots for history.
  • Frozen scope vs actual — compared bars on the roadmap: scope creep is measured, not guessed.
  • .mpp & Excel import — tasks, milestones and dependencies from Microsoft Project; preview before commit.
  • Per-project allocations — monthly workload plan per resource, allocated vs consumed on every record.
“Sample testimonial — our project managers imported their .mpp files on day one. A week later, nobody was keeping a separate schedule anymore.”
